In our group, astro- and particle physics, ground- and space-based experiments, photon and neutrino observations are combined in a scientific program in order to address the following questions:
- How do astrophysical accelerators work?
- Do neutrinos have non standard properties, beyond standard oscillation?
- What is the mass hierarchy of neutrinos?
- Is the proton stable?
- Where and what is dark matter?
Physical Review Letters
Abstract: We report improved measurements of the all flavor astrophysical neutrino spectrum with IceCube by combining complementary neutrino samples in two independent analyses. Both analyses show evidence of a…
Physical Review D
Abstract: The advent of multimessenger astronomy has allowed for new types of source searches by neutrino detectors. We present the results of the search for 0.5–100 GeVastrophysical neutrinos detected with…
Astrophysical Journal Letters
Abstract: IceCube recently reported the observation of TeV neutrinos from the nearby Seyfert galaxy NGC 1068, and the corresponding neutrino flux is significantly higher than the upper limit implied by…
Astrophysical Journal
Abstract: The search for sources of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos can be significantly advanced through a multimessenger approach, which seeks to detect the γ-rays that accompany neutrinos as they are…
Astrophysical Journal
Abstract: The powerful jets of blazars have been historically considered as likely sites of high-energy cosmic-ray acceleration. However, the particulars of the launched jet and the locations of leptonic and…
Astrophysical Journal Letters
Abstract: Recently, IceCube reported neutrino emission from the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1068. Using 13.1 yr of IceCube data, we present a follow-up search for neutrino sources in the northern sky. NGC 1068 remains…
European Physical Journal C
Abstract: STRings for Absorption Length in Water (STRAW)-a and b were pathfinder instruments deployed to characterize the anticipated site of the Pacific Ocean Neutrino Experiment (P-ONE), which is a future…
Astrophysical Journal
Abstract: The recent IceCube detection of TeV neutrino emission from the nearby active galaxy NGC 1068 suggests that active galactic nuclei (AGNs) could make a sizable contribution to the diffuse flux of…
Physical Review Letters
Abstract: We present a search for the diffuse extremely-high-energy neutrino flux using 12.6 years of IceCube data. The nonobservation of neutrinos with energies well above 10 PeV constrains the all-flavor…
European Physical Journal C
Abstract: The nature of dark matter remains unresolved in fundamental physics. Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs), which could explain the nature of dark matter, can be captured by celestial bodies…
