Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: Spatially resolved stellar kinematics has become a key ingredient in time-delay cosmography to break the mass-sheet degeneracy in the mass profile and in turn provide a precise constraint on the…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: Strong gravitationally lensed supernovae (LSNe), though rare, are exceptionally valuable probes for cosmology and astrophysics. Upcoming time-domain surveys such as the Vera Rubin Observatory’s Legacy…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: Time-delay cosmography leverages strongly lensed quasars to measure the Universe's current expansion rate, H0, independently from other methods. The latest TDCOSMO milestone measurement primarily used…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: We present new time delays, the main ingredient of time delay cosmography, for 22 lensed quasars resulting from high-cadence r-band monitoring on the 2.6 m ESO VLT Survey Telescope and…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: We used strong gravitational lensing to study the mass distribution of the galaxy cluster MACS J0035.4a 2015, by modeling its total mass distribution. The combination of high-resolution imaging from…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: We present a comprehensive spectroscopic analysis of MACS J0138-2155, at z = 0:336. It is the first galaxy cluster known to host two strongly lensed supernovae (SNe), Requiem and Encore, and thus…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: The current standard model of cosmology successfully describes a variety of measurements, but the nature of its main ingredients, dark matter and dark energy, remains unknown. Euclid is a medium-class…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: We investigated the ability of the Euclid telescope to detect galaxy-scale gravitational lenses. To do so, we performed a systematic visual inspection of the 0.7 deg2 Euclid Early Release Observations…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: The Euclid Wide Survey (EWS) is predicted to find approximately 170 000 galaxy-galaxy strong lenses from its lifetime observation of 14 000 deg2 of the sky. Detecting this many lenses by visual…
Astronomy and Astrophysics
Abstract: Strongly lensed quasars provide valuable insights into the rate of cosmic expansion, the distribution of dark matter in foreground deflectors, and the characteristics of quasar hosts. However,…
