Description
This lecture is the second part of a lecture series on physical principles of biomedical applications. This course continues the first part of the series, "Biomedical Physics I", but can be attended without prior knowledge.
Topics include:
Part 1)
- biomedical imaging (x-ray imaging, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear imaging, functional/biological imaging, ultrasound, AI in radiology)
Part 2)
- interaction of radiation with matter, radiation therapy (brachytherapy, teletherapy with electrons and x-rays, proton therapy, image guided therapy, treatment planning, dosimetry).
- light, electron- and X-ray microscopy
Teaching and learning methods
