Welcome to the Group of Prof. Johanna Eichhorn

We investigate the physical principles of energy conversion processes in novel materials and nanostructures. A particular focus is on conversion processes at surfaces and interfaces beyond idealized model systems. An overarching goal is to understand the impact of nanoscale material properties on the macroscale performance of complex material architectures. To this end, advanced atomic force microscopy methods are used to resolve dynamically reaction processes, charge transport, and material properties at the nanoscale.
We are looking for MSc students to join research projects in the group for 2025. Interested students are welcome to contact us.
