Neutron and X-ray Scattering on Condensed Matter
Neutron and X-ray scattering are some of the most powerful and versatile experimental methods to study the structure and dynamics of materials on the atomic scale. This course covers basic theory, instrumentation and scientific applications of these experimental methods.
The course is focused on structures in the winter semester and dynamics in the summer semester and is taught together with Sebastian Mühlbauer from the FRM-II.

Introduction to Condensed Matter Physics
This course gives an introduction to condensed matter physics including bonding mechanisms, structures, lattice dynamics, thermal properties and electronic behavior. We also touch on the phenomena of superconductivity and magnetism and hence give a broad overview of the field.
