This year, the group had the privilege of being hosted at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, near Trieste 🇮🇹 — an inspiring place dedicated to fundamental science and international collaboration.

For one full week, they immersed themselves in intense scientific exchange: from inverse Compton X-ray and Gamma Sources, over super-resolution X-ray microscopy, phase-contrast, dark-field and X-ray spectral imaging, all the way to medical applications, and the rapidly growing role of AI and machine learning in X-ray CT and image processing.

In Prof. Pfeiffer's words: "Beyond the science, what makes these retreats truly special is the team spirit — bringing together outstanding, motivated, and creative minds in an open and collaborative atmosphere. The discussions, ideas, and energy from this week will clearly shape many of our projects going forward."
