In the treatment of COVID-19 patients, doctors and researchers at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Klinikum rechts der Isar have made great progress. This ranges from basic research for the development of drugs to research into overlapping genes to the automatic evaluation of X-ray images with the help of artificial intelligence.

Sat.1 Bayern reported on this in two large TV programs and also shows the current research work of the groups around MSB Director Franz Pfeiffer on dark field imaging and MSB-PI Nassir Navab on the automatic evaluation of CT images.
